What Does Success Mean to You?

"No other success can compensate for failure in the home." -- D. O. McKay

If you define success by the amount of money you make or by the position you hold you need to get a new definition for success. A man who has all he has ever wanted and does not have the respect of those closest to him is not a success.

True success is obtained when those closest to you honor and respect you.

But, true success doesn't just happen. True success is a journey that requires careful planning and hard work. If you are going to have true success, you must be willing to spend time planning, working and thinking on your journey's path.

Remember, there are no short cuts to success. You start the journey to success by establishing your priorities. Well thought out and established priorities will create better:

  • consistency
  • use of time
  • decision making

If you establish and deal with your priorities before problems arise, you will be prepared to make important decisions. Your pre-determined priorities will guide your decision making process and a decision, based on your priorities, will come quickly.

Creating Priorities

So, if you want true success the first course of action is to sit down right now and determine your priorities.

A priority is anything in your life that is an absolute must and it comes before anything else except for a higher ranking priority.

Once you know what your priorties are, write them down in their order of importance and begin to think about how you will handle each of these prioities in your life.

It is very important to spend time thinking about your priorities now, so you are ready for any situation when it occurs. We will talk more about thinking later. But for now, start your journey by determining your priorities and writing them down.

Accomplishing this one, very important step will put you ahead of 95% of your peers.

Get started on your success journey, now!!

  1. Determine your priorities
  2. Write your priorities down
  3. Put them in order of importance
  4. Consider how you will use your priorities
  5. Think on these things

"If you’ve had wonderful family relationships, you will be able to call yourself a true success in life no matter what else you’ve achieved."
