  1. PREPARE A PLACE for them to study. It should be personalized and fit their personality and study type

  2. SUPPLY THEM WITH THE TOOLS they need to be successful. Make sure they have pencils, paper, pens, notebooks, highlighters, 3x5 cards, crayons, etc.

  3. MONITOR their television consumption and video game time. Too much television will deteriorate the imagination.

  4. HAVE BREAKFAST Your children need to eat a nutritious breakfast every morning. Their bodies are craving energy and must have it to think clearly.

  5. REST Set a bed time and stick to it. Your children need to get plenty of sleep for good growth and development.

  6. READ to your young children and encourage your older children to read, read and read more. Take your children to the bookstore and have them help you pick out the books.

  7. successful studentsBE ACTIVE IN YOUR CHILDREN’S LIFE. You need to know who their friends are and the company they keep even in church.

  8. ATTEND your children’s activities. You need to be at the recitals, football games and the plays. It is very important to them even if they pretend it’s not.

  9. LEARN TO SAY NO! Your child shouldn't be in everything and you may have to risk being unpopular and say "NO!"

  10. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. They are your children not the school’s, not the teacher’s and certainly not the government’s. They are yours and you are expected to train them, teach them and care for them.
